چکیده

A model and simulation software for faults detection, analysis and prediction in multi-layered and single layered printed circuit boards is presented. Fault detection is an intricate process; an engineer must apply wits to search for ways of rectifying and preventing the faults inherent in any electronic device. By application of several electronic paradigms on raw data from test equipments, this work introduces a way of rapidly analyzing electronic circuits to ascertain their availability in the expected product lifespan. For simulation, randomly generated resistive or reactive signal values within practical operational ranges were acted upon by probabilistic functions, Ohms and Kirchhoff’s laws of electronics, etc. to produce a solution pattern for the circuit’s availability. Predictions were thus obtainable for a future trend of the reliability of the circuit under test. The results were found to justify the approach with several carried-out tests. Keywords— Faults Prediction, Simulation, Circuit Boards, Electronic Analysis, Test Measurements.

Classifying Faults Locations in Cable Terminations and Investigation of the Faults Reasons

Cable termination faults are problematic in electrical networks almost always. Technology has solved problems somewhat, but there are many annual reports about damaged cable terminations. For analyzing the problems, faults in two regional electricity companies are studied. At first step, damaged cable terminations are analyzed statistically and grouped according to their problems. Then, some of...

Wherefore ever ramble on

Since the very early days of electronic components failures have continuously been appearing. In spite of enormous development and production improvements this situation has not changed. Even automated equipment faults continue to be created on circuit boards. There is not a single manufacturing technique that will guarantee the 100 percent fault free circuit board. Each new technology creates ...

Compact Lossy Inductance Simulators With Electronic Control

In this paper two R‑L network simulator configurations employing a single VDDIBA, one resistance and one grounded capacitance are presented. The first configuration is a grounded series resistor-inductor (R‑L) network simulator and the second configuration is intended for grounded parallel resister-inductor (R‑L) circuit simulation. Both the proposed circuits enjoy several beneficial features s...

Performance Analysis of Disk Type Variable Reluctance Resolver under Mechanical and Electrical Faults

Disk Type Variable Reluctance (DTVR) resolvers have distinguished performance under run out fault comparing to conventional sinusoidal rotor resolvers. However, their accuracy under inclined rotor fault along with different types of eccentricities includes static and dynamic eccentricities are questioned. Furthermore, due to thin copper wires that are used for signal and excitation coils of res...
